an interesting read even tho not Aussie oriented, 'Wired' has an article on
the possible legalising of Wardriving .. that is "the owner of a wireless
computer network shall be responsible for securing such computer network."
in regard the protection of the person that accidently stumbles across an
insecure network thinking it 'open access' .... a sign of things to come?
will be interesting also to see the outcome

"A bill that's breezing through New Hampshire's legislature says operators
of wireless networks must secure them -- or lose some of their ability to
prosecute anyone who gains access to the networks.
House Bill 495 would, experts say, effectively legalize many forms of
what's known as war driving -- motoring through an inhabited area while
scanning for open wireless access points. "
