| a) Firstly Craig - what version of firmware were you using in order for
the
| DWL-900AP+ to work as a client with your Cisco BR-340?
The default shipped firmware (2.1??) kiiiiinda worked, I'd get 5 ping
replies than 3 timeouts
(had a mock client network set up @ home, DWL-900AP+ in client mode, into a
10 base switch then off to a wired laptop)
Stepped the firmware up to 2.3 (?? whicever was the latest on the website on
Sunday), which aleviated this problem.
Only issue that the system is having now is for the first 45 seconds or so
that the connection is used after not being used for > 5 minutes or on a
fresh boot, I get timeouts.
Running a tcpdump on the router (which is plugged into the ass end of my
BR-340) I get arp requests and it does tries to go back, but never makes it
so I think this is an issue not related to the DLink AP.
