[MLB-WIRELESS] Enterasys card under Mandrake 8.2

Spent a bit of time yesterday trying to get one of my $50 Enterasys cards 
working under Mandrake 8.2.  The system selects the wvlan_cs module, and 
like the case with a Red Hat 6.2 system, the card didn't seem to work with 
this module.  It would light up, and iwconfig could see it.  I tried 
setting it to "ad-hoc" mode, but couldn't see any signs of real communication.

Anyone else got any hints to try?
