[MLB-WIRELESS] Windows2000 Advanced Server - the saga continues

Finally I received my proxim cards from the Grays Auction the other day - I
purchased 2x PCMCIA and a PCI card. So they were sitting in the original
(READ: Unwrapped!) boxes whilst I wondered what I could do with them.
In some weird quirk - I plugged the PCI card into my NT2K Advanced server
(my primary server) after finding the drivers on Proxim's website.. and it
all WORKS!

This is yet another one of those IT-industry-playing-silly-buggers things..
why is it an OLD, out-of-date, proprietary, 1.6Mb PCI wireless Proxim Card
will work on Windows NT Advanced server; and the Enterasys/Cabletron 802.11b
cards will not?!!?

I have had to satisfy myself with 1.6Mb - lucky nothing I do is bandwidth
intensive... but until someone can come up with a driver that will work in
NTAS it will have to do!

Anyone who has had/knows how to/has any suggestions in getting the Enterasys
cards to work in Windows NT2K AS (works fine in 2000Professional BTW) - I am
all ears... until then I am stuck with the proxim cards as my primary
platform!

Alternatively, does anyone know where I can find a LRP (Linux single disk
router) image that supports the latest Orinoco_PLX drivers. I know that
kernel 2.4.18 with updated drivers work fine - but I cannot find a LRP tree
to build it with the latest.. I have an old ATX board that I can use as a
router..
