[MLB-WIRELESS] Bullet2 output power, why 1W or 100mW

I look forward to firing up my 100w ( 50dBm) 2.4g TV transmitter into either 
the 8db omni or better still my 3m mesh dish with about 30db gain

Hmmm, thats only an erp of  100kW from the dish, and 
legal...................
just dont stand in front of it.
