Ohhh, this sort of thing takes time.  I am sure someone can code it up
over the course of a few evenings.

It did get me thinking though, if and when the connection points are added
to the 2D online maps, it might be worth making the extra step to produce
a .kml file for importing the same data into Google Earth.  That way
alternative views and relative heights can also be considered.
