The OpenWRT developer NBD has written some nice QoS scripts:
http://downloads.openwrt.org/people/nbd/qos/

And here's a howto for using the above on Freifunk Firmware:

An OpenWRT forums user named rudy also wrote some QoS scripts - do a search 
for his stuff in the OpenWRT forums.  Some people prefer his implementation.
