[MLB-WIRELESS] Mitsubishi R100 aka wl500g

I have one running as a firewall with openwrt (I don't use the wireless
interface at all).

The only downside compared to the linksys wrt is that the 4 switched
ports are not individually addressable using vlan tags, they treated as
a single switch.

This isn't a big thing but it would be nice to have addressable ports
for DMZ zones etc.

Hi Mark

They are a great little universal wireless access point that you can run
openwrt/freifunk on.

They have the added advantages of a
mini pci wireless card, usb 1.1, and a parallel port plus the standard 5
ethernet ports.

The standard firmware will do LPR on the parallel port so they make a
very cheap print server (but run the latest asus wl500g firmware as the
one that comes loaded tends to be unstable with printing)

With the wireless card , you can even change it for a 5gig card for a
very cheap 5gig link !

Checkout http://www.melbourne.wireless.org.au/wiki/?WL500G
for more information.

Cheers

Peter
