What sort of SCSI interface? Hot swap or normal scsi cable and sep. power
connector?
Regards,

OK, here is the lowdown on the terabyte of disks.
firstly, it is only 32 disks (not 32 x 8 = 256 disks), each 4.7 GB, so not
a terabyte as such. On the up side they are being removed from the racks
[1] and delivered to Latrobe. On the other down side there are a couple of
people in the queue for them. If and when I get some I'll let everyone
know and then we can best decide how to distribute them. I have a couple
of bits of HW that can use them... old sun boxes for instance, but am
willing to use them to the best purpose possible for the general benefit
of MW! since I am easily capable of being magmanimous with other peoples
property that I don't have my hands on yet :-)
note these are UW scsi disks. especially suit those who collect and
maintain odd old hardware.
all thanks to Benji for spotting this.
[1] don't ask. apparently it's an old telephone exchange, ericson
equipment. These are not the type of rack you are looking for.
