As Bill Gates once said, he isn't afraid of competition from the
multinationals rather he is worried about the guy tinkering in his
backyard. Innovation, partly experimental and partly passion, for those
that are not short sighted and myopic will understand. You should
remember that most people who don't understand things usually try and
shoot it down. Wireless is only in its infancy and has yet to blossom.
It's a wonderful wired world of the 20th century that we have inherited,
Melb Wireless has a part to turning it into a wonderful unwired world of
the 21st century. Freedom of anywhere anytime
Take care and keep up the good work

Subject: [MLB-WIRELESS] Wireless versus wired
What can wireless do for you when the dsl stops working ?
The Radio Amateurs are having similar dinosaur issues
We get some fame when there is a disaster, and in between - not
much
If you value the ability to be or act independantly - then do it
There are mounting threats to our existence, which are designed
to close you
down - Herd us, just like cattle, to conform to commercialism
Radio is still a choice that you can make, and it's better that
you use it rather
than lose it
Why ! with your Shortwave Radio you may learn things that won't
fit into Murdoch's
editorial, for instance
But, what's the point, your friends will only say that you are
talking rubbish, cause
they watched the news on TV and KNOW what's happening in the
world
And you drift apart,(or actually - ram the oar) and become a
Hermit like creature
who gradually loses it all as he faces the Mountain of deceived
creation run by
Johnnie - The Man Who Delivers. See there is a good example of
no choice, NOW
