The 2 types of antenna have a spec for 18dbi & 25dbi. the larger size haveng the larger gain of course.
Pacific has a 14dbi and 19dbi I think?
There should be no reason to suspect that the gain changes after modification as you are still using the same parts (minus electronics). There will however be losses due to mis-match in dipole spec vs freq but at the end of it all, what ever is received or transmitted by the dipole element will still be subject to the gain spec of the whole system.
