There's a solution to tracking exactly as you describe.
Looks pretty cool to me. I've tried it for sake of exploring the technology
and it works like a charm!

Again something from Rockby's specials that caught my eye, which may be of
interest to fellow experimenters - particularly the price!

I want to develop a system that tracks my car via GPS, and starts sending
periodic update SMSs with the GPS location if it moves into an "unknown"
area. This module looks like a more elegant solution, rather than fooling
around with hacking a cheapie model such as those Coca Cola phones.

I'll be ordering one tomorrow. Not sure where I'm going to find a mini
connector though...
