Worse, the modulation doesnt hold up over distance.

Yes, or sort of.

I can do an abg MiniPCI 100mW, I cant get any high powered pcmcia with a
connector, I may be able to get some PCI though. Also hoping to have some
high powered ethernet clients, and APs as well in the not so distant
future.
