depends on what you mean.

There are true harddisks (with rotating magnetic platters) with pcmcia
interface (ibm).

But there are also flash cards (compactflash, should be ~100aud by
now?), combine 'm with a pcmcia converter (cheap, just changes pin
format) that can act as a storage medium.
(don't swap on 'm... 100Kwrites go down real fast)
