[MLB-WIRELESS] minitar pcmcia card - opinions?

I just got one of these - it seems to work with Linux - after a lot of
trial and error and recompiling.. but the very v1.000 drivers appear
unreliable (and the iwconfig stuff seems an incomplete implementation) -
has anyone got this working reliably?

I have followed the hints given by googling and the minitar forum
sites.. but it seems very hit or miss whether the driver actually
activates.
