i got some cat5 connectors, and successfully wired it up to do POE for my
SVEC access point

tested over a 10 meter cat5 cable with no problems at all - got ethernet
link-state, and powered the AP

wired in orange and green for the data (pins 1,2,3 and 6) and sent the
5volts DC for the AP down pins 4 & 8

piece of cake ;)
