[MLB-WIRELESS] OT: Cisco Router

Get yourself an 801 router (you can pick them up second hand for about $200 - 300 second hand) and learn the basic IOS commands. They WILL ask those questions on the exam.
Besides, the world really doesn't need another CCNA that doesn't know how to configure a router. We had a Cisco 'engineer' here who boasted about her CCNA, but when it came down to business, she didn't even know where to plug in a the console cable.
We all complain how clueless Microsoft certified people are as a rule (I've met an MCSE that didn't know how to install a printer) Id hate to see the Cisco certifications head down the same path.
Not saying you're clueless, (quite the opposite. After all, you're here asking for a router:) but idiots with certifications is one of my pet peeves and I felt the need to vent ;)
Actually, I have a spare router after all... how about I put it on the net for you... contact me off list and ill give you the IP and password :)

When I went to Networkers in 2001, I was told by some yank that you could buy time on set of real cisco routers (2501's) via the internet...it was pretty resonably priced as i remember....but the boss was paying....but as sugesteted bellow get cybex's books there GREAT, hey they even have a few funny jokes in them...and no thats not carcasim....that wasnt either
good luck
that 85% pass is a bit of a bitch, it aint a MCSE

I did this a couple of years ago... don't think a router is really necessary.... sybex has a great router Sim... I think I may still have
it somewhere 8-)

Wish I could help, but if I had one I'd be using it for my learning for my CCNA. :-)

The people at http://www.routersim.com/ do CCNA/CCNP tools including router simulators. I think they've got a good rep, but don't quote me on that!
Another possibility that isn't Cisco, but may be instructive, is to look at the GNU Zebra routing software. It implements things like BGP, OSPF, etc and has an IOS like interface.
Official Zebra site - http://www.zebra.org/
Zebra patches - http://zebra.dishone.st/
good luck!
