Umm.. now I am no expert here but can't you just run two domain name
systems? :) that would be fun.. I understand some competing companies tried
it to sell <dot>yourcompanynamehere domains a while ago.. they slotted
software into Kazza to get people to be able to resolve the names but people
seemed to think it was spyware.

Well poo to you guys :-p
I'm gonna use my own crazy domains.
If in 10 years time we need internet resolvable addressing (and I'll put
money on it taking that long before there's a decent wireless network and
it's possible to make it part of the internet), then I'll go and change all
of my DNS addressing to suite.
Perhaps you guys are thinking too far into the future for your own good. I
can understand perfectly your reasons behind allowing for future internet
connections. But with changing technology by the time we do, we may have
to revamp everything anyway.
Would it be so bad to look more towards a here and now network. Instead of
thinking how can we set this up to work with the internet in 5 years time,
lets look to how we can get our wireless network up and running today.
Hey I just thought of a good Melbwireless catch phrase. How about "Where do
you want to go today?"
give me your thoughts people, it's good to see the mailing list so active
with this discussion about something very important to us!
