Java,
The devices can probably be used to the same distance as B (as the frequency
is the same, therefore the free space loss and signwave characteristics are
the same), however they will fall back to 11b or close speeds at these
distances.
As the higher thruputs require better signal strength to achieve it.
eg: product specs on the LinkSys range state the RX sensitivity in 2 modes
RX Sensitivity
11Mbps: -80 dBm
54Mbps: -65 dBm
