I presume you are only going to use the WLAN for
'safe' things, such as data collection, and
not do things such as controlling machinery.  I don't think
it would be a very good idea to control a 60 ton brake
press using a WLAN!

Out of curiosity, what type of factory are you
working on, and in what way is the WLAN being
worked into the system?
