[MLB-WIRELESS] Squid authentication over wireless

Finally got the linux laptop working with mutiple wireless cards and now
have squid proxying for me :)
After hunting around the net for the last hour I have come to a point at
which I am looking at locking everything down now that i know it all works.

What I am trying to find is a proxy_auth program that will allow browser
authentication while having encryption between the browser and the server.

Short of having a SSH tunnel that proxies to the squid proxy port has
anyone come across something like this?
I found a page that had a good decsription of a possible solution (SSL web
page with login) but I havn't seen anywhere that has implemented this as an
auth_proxy prog.
