Well,
This may well be of some interest to various peoples.
Ingredients:
Computer :-)
Ricoh Carrier
Enterasys Card
Originally when using Debian 2.2 / 3.0 and any 2.4.x kernel, I would
experience a full system lockup as soon as my laptop and desktop linked.
Breaking that link resulted in a return to functionality.
Found that Redhat 7.3 installs worked a treat. Joy! </sarcasm>. So I used
that for a while.
Well, RedHat bombed out last night at some time, wouldn't get past Lilo..
:-/
So, armed with the 2.4.19 changelog.
- <rmk at arm.linux.org.uk> (02/07/02 1.584)
- [PATCH] fix orinoco wireless system-freeze problem
I ventured forth again with Debian.
HURRAH! Works a treat, simply compile in the Enterasys modules (I don't use
modules, I compile in) and BOYAH, it works.
So now to lock down my box again.
Do we really need warnings that the lead in paint will kill you? Keep in
mind that these people have already made a conscious decision to CONSUME
PAINT.
