The Australian Communications Authority (ACA) seeks comments from industry, consumer groups and interested parties on the need to monitor and report on the performance of the telecommunications industry in delivering broadband and high data rate services.  



The ACA's aim in releasing the discussion paper is to find out if there is a need for independent quality of service information on broadband services to be available to consumers, and if so, the form that monitoring or reporting might take.



A copy of the discussion paper can be found at www.aca.gov.au/issues/discussion/broadband.htm



The closing date for comments is 15 November 2002.
