Melbourne ISP Alphalink has announced it plans to offer wireless broadband
in some Melbourne suburbs from $27.50 per month.
The ISP, which says it has recently gained authorisation to operate as a
fully-blown telco, says it will use its carrier licence to provide
residential broadband services at very affordable prices.
The network will be commence rollout in July this year, starting with the
suburbs of North Fitzroy and Clifton Hill, with adjoining suburbs to
follow. The telco says if demand for the product is high enough, it will
continue to roll out its network simultaneously in other suburbs.
