[MLB-WIRELESS] horizontal vs vertical?

Ok, here's something I know nothing about.  What's the story with
horizontal polarization vs vertical?  Can things interoperate if they're
differently polarized?  Is it something to worry about when setting up
an access point, or setting up links between access points?
