I remember talking to you about this, though this was after a few beers so I
doubt anything made sense.

These times are strange. 200ms ping times are huge. Are you seeing any lost
packets? This was the AP up the pole right? We talked about the diversity
antenna switching in the AP possibly coming into play but I am not sure
about this. Maybe ping the AP over both wireless and twister pair to see
that it is not the firmware in the AP messing around with ping times. Have
you been able to find any technical info on the AP on the Internet? It might
be possible to configure the device to only ever use the one antenna.
