Is the Internet limited to 11 Mbps half duplex backbones which compete with
end users for the same channel space? And to the end users have the same
bandwidth as the backbone? Just pointing out a couple of differences here.

This is good, we need to ask these questions. Another reason why I think
Ben should concentrate on writing any code for a single platform during the
testing phase - then the distraction of crass platform issues isn't present.

My understanding is "higher priority access to bandwidth". So, "premiom
nodes" get their data routed preferrentialy ahead of the rest. I suspect
that's an oversimplified explanation to highlight the principle.
