[MLB-WIRELESS] Meeting venue...

We have *already* chased them up, along with many other areas. There is a
lot going on behind the scenes to get these meetings together.
Coburg library are unsure of if we would be _allowed_ to use their
facilities, we are awaiting verdict from them. Regardless, it may not be
feasible for eastern suburbanites as the travel arrangements are poor. Plus
the fact that they are booked solid, we would have to change to the 1st
Friday of each month, available from June onwards. It's already booked!
Candidates for meeting venues should meet the following criteria:
* Cost (free is good, but what good is a free hall in Timbuktu?)
* Accessibility
- By road
- By public transport FOR THE MAJORITY
- For disabled
* Facilities
- Power
- Presentation (projector & screen)
- Shelter
- BBQ is a nice touch to our meetings, I'd like to keep it.
- LOS???
Coburg is not highly accessible for the majority, as the _populous_ centre
of Melbourne is actually EAST of the city, somewhere between Bentleigh and
Box Hill. Hawthorn is probably too far north, but about right in terms of
latitude.
PLEASE, can we not hassle the same organisations multiple times with the
same request? There is a *group* of us working together on this issue (four
of us, admittedly all eastern folks) - talk with us before annoying someone
who does not want yet another Melb-Wireless member hassling them for a
venue.
Regards,
Tyson.
