!??!  HUH?!  Now that's weird.  I'll try it when I get home tonight but I 
seriously would have thought, like a floppy disk, such cards could only go 
one way into the adapters.  I hope I haven't buggered anything.

I now built the PCMCIA drivers in the kernel and am having heaps of grief 
with depmod -a not resolving symbols in the pcmcia modules.  I think I 
shall just use the card service drivers and be done with it.
