While we are on the subject, maybe it's time to look at the 
definition of "active".  I reckon we need a few different classes of 
"active", ranging from "I have a laptop and a card and I switch it on 
from time to time"  to "I have a 24/7, public access point with good 
links to the rest of the mesh"
