Or underground - CB wasn't legal when it started... Not suggesting
anything, but stating a fact of history. IMHO, it's better (not only for
us, but other band users as well) if we can secure a legal footing, while
the opportunity is there. If that doesn't happen, there will be pirates,
given that 802.11 gear is already out there. And you can bet those pirates
won't be taking the same care that the current organised groups are to
coexist peacefully with other users of the band.
