Ah, what I meant was that anyone with stock standard Redhat 7.x could 
compile things for it and not have issues with libc and gcc versions.  I 
have had trouble with LRP because I didn't have the libs (or the requisite 
old Debian) to make a compatible binary for LRP.

Yes, must use the source....

Anyone experienced with Perl and dynamic web pages?
