I haven't (yet) replaced the antenna and tried it out externally.

    I have one.  It works.  It only does 40bit WEP, and it's SNMP implementation isn't quite complete, but these are supposed to be fixed in later firmware revisions.  I haven't bothered yet.

    The card is not removable, but one of the antennae is - the other is fixed inside.
