Oooh... you said a bad word [IPv6]! ;)
IPv6 has the concept of "site local" addresses. There are quite a few of
them available.
Alternatively, there are also quite a few globally routable IPv6 addresses
available. We should obtain a block. This is quite easy. Trumpet are
giving out /48 blocks. That's enough for 64k subnets and 64 bits of
address space per each (EUN-64 addressing standard).

This is what I keep thinking as I drive around the eastern suburbs and see
the Dandenongs loom large. Someone mentioned a "ham" site somewhere up
that way with people who might be friendly to us. If those people are
listening, please speak up!
The problem with good antenna sites is that there will generally be people
who want to pay money for them.

Maybe so. But the discussions are worthwhile and IRC doesn't [usually]
get archived (at least not in a public place). What is the list for if
not to talk about wireless networking issues?
