[MLB-WIRELESS] Amount of noise in the list lately.

There's been a lot of noise on the list lately, so I'd just like to remind
people that this is a wireless based mailing list. Keep in mind that there
are nearly 300 people on this list, so your "quick wit" comments are going
to almost 300 people. Keep in mind that we average about 15+ posts per day,
and the load on the server can be imagined.
Although the server seems to be doing a good job of keeping up, even if 1 in
4 people don't like going through 4 out of 5 off topic emails, then that's a
lot of people.
I'll use this opportunity to ask people to try and keep the list on-topic,
and other comments can be mailed to authors off-list (note this means you
have to type in their email address, not just hit reply.)
There are also a number of topics that I hope we don't cover in the near
future as they have been pretty much flogged to death... these include:
* mailing list / newsgroup / web board interfaces
* IPv6 vs IPv4
Thank's for your time, and I hope that we can strive back to more signal
than noise.
Signed,
Steven Haigh
The Internet was designed by the American Military back in the late 60's. It
was designed to be a decentralised information delivery system so that in
the event of a nuclear attack, American Military leaders would still have
access to pornography.
