[MLB-WIRELESS] Lightning protection?

I've been thinking about this as well. Hypertech has a protector for $USD50
(http://www.hyperlinktech.com/web/hgln_03.html). It works by shunting the
strike to the case of the protector which needs to be grounded. If my
antenna mast is already grounded do I need to use one?
