[MLB-WIRELESS] Omni Antenna

I haven't tested it yet, it just arrived from Sydney (literally 5 mins ago).
It's the 8dbi omni from www.smartant.com sold by Rojone (www.rojone.com.au),
$153.45 for the antenna and $11 next day delivery. The specs seem similar to
most of the commercial vertial collinears and at this price I couldn't have
bought it much cheaper from the US.

When the pigtail and AP arrive I'll mount on the roof and give it good
thrashing.

Can you give me the details of what it is and where you got it from?  Also,
have you tested it?  What sort of actual gain are you getting?

Se my earlier post, basically don't bother you need to be very acurate with
measurements if you are going to have a chance of getting one of these to
work.

Well I've got wlan cards, baby Galaxy, FreeBsd now all I need is an Omni.

In view of the posts re the Omni @ MelbWireless not working, has anyone
built this?
