Check out the swapmeets, I've seen a multiplexer there that can display one
to many.

 
I'm guessing they've worked out how much 20 LCD's cost compared to 1
projector.. 

Gee, projectors aren't that expensive these days.  You can get a good one
and have change out of $5k...  Are LCDs down to $250 a throw?  If so, where
can I get one? :-)
