Critical Systems & ISM (was RE: [MLB-WIRELESS] Wireless 'cloud' may offer silver lining Or is it just 'pie-in-the-sky' technology?)

This is an interesting development:

The 'SmartBus'. Runs along bus routes 703 and 888/889. I got a flyer and a
free weekly pass in the mail.

Wirelessly communicates with position tags embedded in the roads, electronic
signs to alert passengers of bus arrival times, and traffic lights to give
priority to busses which are behind schedule.

Not much technical information on the website though. I haven't spotted any
antennas on traffic lights yet, but I'll keep my eyes peeled tommorow. =)
