Rob, the amount of db or if you like the size of the antenna will depend on where
you are and what you would like to link to, the larger db antennas for longer
distances, or smaller db antennas for shorter links...
These types of antennas are generally used for distance or direct line links,
where you normally link 1 node to another in most cases.

Hi All,
I am interested in setting up a node. Is this antenna any good?? And
which one should I get 18db, 24db, etc ??
I am a complete newbie and don't know what different db does.
Many thanks
Rob

for $50 and $30 i'm sure you will have some interest, besides - what
does it
matter if they sit in your shed for a month? someone from the group will
buy
them in time, just bring them to the meets and they will sell for sure.
i think they are 16db, 18-19db,21db,24db
too many sizes! lol

Hi all can someone please tell me what sizes the Ex-Galaxy antenna's
actually came in cause I have see at least three sizes so far. Also can
you
tell me if I can get a fair few 18dbi antennas am I going to be left
with
them siting in my shed or are people willing to buy them. I think the
going
price on the 24dbi is $50-$60 and 18dbi is $30-$40.
Matt.
