Is there a way of amplifying just the transmitting side of 2 units to
increase range? eg. Is it possible to open a wireless bridge and connect
another antenna direct to the board, before the Tx/Rx switching device, then
amplify this antenna??

Or do the units that have diversity antennas only transmit on one, but
receive on both??  If so could the Tx only antenna of both units be
amplified?? Leaving the other antenna for receiving only??

Bi directional amplifiers are just too expensive........
