Well, it would be tricky, as a traditional repeater uses a split pair of
frequencies, but WLAN cards don't. And you need to build demodulators and
modulators... However, there is one class of device that _would_ help, and
is simpler to build. it's called an OCAR (On Channel Active Repeater).
Basically, it's 2 antennas with sufficient separation, and lots of
amplifiers between them. The antennas and amps have to be positioned so the
whole thing doesn't oscillate, but they apparently work very well, once
setup.
Only hitch. You got bugger all chance of getting such a beast type
approved, so you'd have to pirate if you went this approach (ham systems
operating between 2400 and 2450 MHz are the obvious exception here).
