EIRP is Effective Isotropic Radiated Power.  Basically the amount of power
you would have to apply to a gainless, non-focused antenna (Isotropic) to
achieve the same result.

18dBi antennas have a multiplying effect of about 64x the input signal
(ignoring cabling losses).
