[MLB-WIRELESS] DWL-650 & 3COM AP

Having recovered from the third degree burns suffered after I inadvertently
posted using HTML I have summoned up the courage to try my virgin post
again.

I have joined the wireless community using a 3COM Home Connect AP and a
Dlink DWL-650 card in my laptop.

Two dramas I am having - I can only get about ten metres range out of them -
even if I move the AP to outside away from any stray RF. (I have flashed the
AP with the latest drivers)

The other is I cannot get the DWL-650's setup program to run under XP.
Luckily XP took over and set it up for me but I want to be able to change
settings, keys etc.
